The main church of the Trikomo village (Panagia Theotokos- Blessed Virgin Mary) was built in the early 12th century which is housing the Icon Museum in these days. The Panagia Theotokos Church has been restored and the additions have been added in 15th century and later. Wall paintings left from 12th century have been restored and many other restorations have been made in 1966. In 1991, it has been restored by the TRNC Department of Antiquities and Museums, and the church’s title has been changed. On “the World Museum Day”, the Panagia Theotokas Church is opened to its visitors as the Icon Museum of Iskele.
