Fishing/boating trips!

Postby rocking_one86 » 04 Jul 2009 15:42

If you are interested in Fishing trips, private charter & daily sailings, then these can be organized from the harbor in Kyrenia.Sailings are available for groups and families wishing to explore the coastline or just relax on the open sea.
The season lasts from mid March until the end of November.
Fishing trips are provided by a day ticket, with the experience and technical equipment to give anglers the chance to fish at great deep sea. A holiday in North Cyprus would simply not be complete without enjoying the sea breeze onboard one of the many available vessels from the historic Kyrenia harbour. If you happen to walk along the Old Harbor in Kyrenia, you will be amazed by a panorama of fishing boats making a long wavy line all along. Fishing has traditionally been a feature of this area and the eastern part of the harbor has remained the area for local and foreign residents to moor their boats there. Its a must try for all visiting Kyrenia according to me. :)

for the fishing and sailing , one can get group tours as well as individual hires, for a group tour , suggestion is a price of below euro 30 , then one can go on daylong trips that include lunch and dinner , the old kyrenia harbor is a beehive of such activities and one can choose from a lot of operators there .

Well I got to know a good information that the village of Bogaz in the Northern Cyprus Karpas Peninsula offers fishing trips, and there are some nice fish restaurants along its harbour side for an excellent meal at the end of a hard day’s fishing!
But is it true that Fishing in the North Cyprus reservoirs is permitted only with a special licence? I want to know more about this and how to get this licence? Who is the issuing authority for this and is it mandatory for everyone to have it? :?
