Don't loose the photo oppurtunity.

One thing that I have come accross recently and it almost spoiled the holiday was the fact that my Battery charger for the camers was not compatible with the voltage that the country runs on. Be sure to check that you have a euro battery charger on board and note just a plug adaptor.

We were lucky that next door borrowed theirs but it could have been a holiday with no pictures :(

IN North Cyprus the standard power is -
Electricity: 240 Volts, 50 Hz. Plugs are in English standards. It is advisable to have an adaptor.

this is a common problem with the european tourists who are used to higher voltage appliances. But otherwise there is not much power cut or such problem and power is good in most parts.

No you are wrong dude, In northern Cyprus there is this issue of power cuts and it occurs quite often.Another funny but interesting info is that most anti-mosquito machines are continental 2-pinned, so an adaptor is required for them too  . There are widely available in the stores, supermarkets, grocery shops and electricians, or provided by holiday hotel itself. :)
A torch is always useful to bring, as there is little or no street lighting in the villages and along the minor roads.
